About Charlotte...
I grew up on a farm. When I was a teenager, my dad's farm went bankrupt and we lost everything except the clothes on our backs.
When I started my own farm 17 years ago, I made a vow:
I would not put my kids through what I went through. I would charge a price that made a profit. I would figure out how to sell what I grew.
Soon other farmers started asking me how I was selling out at prices higher than theirs. So I started teaching. They flew in from four states and sat in my living room while our kids played outside. Eventually I moved it online.
Now I work with 300 farmers a year — in every state and 15 countries — teaching the marketing and mindset skills that nobody teaches in agriculture school.
Farm Marketing Week is what I wish had existed when I was starting out.
